CHATORI GALI AT OLD BHOPAL

A wonderful place for the all person who loves non-vegetarian food. This gali (street) is full of tiny shops selling fish & meat dishes with strong & rustic flavors & taste at prices that you would have. This place is just a road on which there are small shops on both sides that sell YUMM meat & fish products at very low price & high volumes.

We get Roasted Chicken, Delhi ki famouus Nahari, Seekh Kebab, Sami Kebab, Briyani and Bakharkhani, Nargisi Kofta, Bhuna Korma and etc. here. Everything here is very chatpata in taste – rustic, robust.

WIND N WAVES RESTAURANT, BHOPAL

Wind N Waves comes under a category of Multi cuisine restaurants. 3 stars restaurant just for the scenic view. The place could be one of the most picturesque restaurants in India. But the service completely kills the place. Located on some height with view of Bhopal's badi lake, the experience of sitting in the open area is experience of lifetime. One of the few places in Bhopal which serves liquor but the issue is the variety they have.

MEAL ON WHEEL AT BHOPAL

Meals on Wheels are programs that deliver meals to individuals at home who are unable to purchase or prepare their own meals. The name is often used generically to refer to home-delivered meals programs, not all of which are actually named "Meals on Wheels". Because they are housebound, many of the recipients are the elderly, and many of the volunteers are also elderly but able-bodied and able to drive wheeled vehicles, usually a van.

Bhopal, like any other north Indian city offers a rich Indian cuisine to explore. People enjoy eating the sweet - sour and spicy "chaat" in Bhopal. Due to the Mughal influence, Bhopal also offers delicacies like Kebabs, Goat Biryani, Chicken Tikka, Jalebi, Ras Malai etc. The best chicken Biryani can be tasted in old Bhopal.

Apart from North Indian and Mughlai cuisine, you can also savor Indo- Chinese, Continental and American cuisine in the various Wheel restaurants of Bhopal.

BHOPAL CUISINE

Bhopal is the land of fusion where the old and the new, the Muslim and Hindu Cultures all co- exist quite comfortably. This fusion is reflected in every aspect of the life in Bhopal. The same element of fusion can be noticed in Bhopal Cuisine. Bhopal Cuisine includes some delicious Vegetarian dishes but the best aspect of Bhopal Cuisine is its exquisite meat delicacies. Thanks to the long Muslim rule in the region, Bhopal Cuisine has been gifted with a plethora of spicy meat dishes.

The most authentic form of Bhopal Cuisine can be best tasted at the inner Chowks of the city which are lined with shops offering the best curries and kebabs. The most popular dishes in Bhopal Cuisine includes

  • Spicy Achar Gost
  • Keemas
  • Rogan Josh
  • Korma
  • Biryani Pilaf
  • Succulent Kababs
  • Pulaos

Besides these popular dishes, Bhopal cuisine also has some of the most interesting preparations. The Bafla is a wheat cake which is dunked in ghee is an ideal accompaniment with a thick bowl of Dal(pulses). Bhopal cuisine is incomplete without a sweet dish which is often a seasonal fruit.

There are also a number of drinks which are special in the Bhopal Cuisine. The Buttermilk and the Sugarcane juice are two of favorite drinks in Bhopal. Bhopal also has its own local form of liquor called the Sulfi which is made from the flowers of the mahua tree.

The most important and famous item of Bhopal Cuisine is served at the very end. The Bhopali Paan or the betel leaf is a complete culinary delight. It not only tastes good but also has digestive quality.
