BIRLA MUSEUM, BHOPAL, MADHYA PRADESH

Birla Museum, Bhopal is an archaeological museum established in 1971 and is one of its kinds among the various museums of Bhopal. The rich culture and heritage and its various aspects get manifested in the Birla Museum in Bhopal which occupies a significant place among the monuments and museums in Bhopal. Stone sculptures, terracottas, manuscripts and paintings are displayed in this museum. 

The various objects that are exhibited in the museum date from the primitive period onwards. There are primitive tools and implements that were used during the Paleolithic and Neolithic period which are also on display. A marvelous scale model of the Bhimbetka rock shelter with its ancient murals is surely going to astound the onlookers with its divine appeal. The tourists interested in archaeology can also observe the stone sculptures that date from the 7th to 13th century collected from the various archaeological sites. Coins and manuscripts and Terracotta belonging to 2nd century BC to the 6th century AD are also exhibited.

RADIO TAXI @ BHOPAL


In order to promote tourism in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh Tourism considers it necessary to start radio taxi service in the city. For this purpose, it wishes to engage an agency for operating radio taxies on the stipulated terms and conditions. A taxi or cab is a type of transportation by car for single passengers or small groups that will fit in a car. Radio Taxis are started on 31 March 2010 at Bhopal. Taxis have a driver who gets you to the location of your choice. There are special pick up and drop off locations for cabs, especially at airports, train stations, or places of public interest. Many cities have cabs with common characteristics such as color or make of car so that the taxi can be recognized by passengers.


FISH AQUARIUM, BHOPAL



Fish Aquarium is situated at Bhopal, near the Raj-Bhavan and old assembly hall. Established in May 31, 1977 and it covers an area of about one hectare and is built in fish like structure. In the lower section are 26 big aquariums. Here is kept collection of fishes brought from state and national lakes, rivers and ponds. This two floors structure has forty glass aquariums and 26 big aquariums.


FISH AQUARIUM of Bhopal hosts 66 varieties of fishes including ornamental and fresh water types.It houses various species of fish, including golden shark, paradise blue, rosy barb, king kobra, golden plata, golden gormi, tiger barb, black moor, king zebra, rohu, katla, mirgal, sawal and bam fish.

From 1st April to 30th September from 1:00 to 20:00 hrs
From 1st October to 31st March from 12:00 to 19:00 hrs.
